Our Founder
Mason Hill is an accomplished educator, admissions strategist, and the founder of Icon Admissions. With a rich background in higher education and a deep commitment to student success, Mason has dedicated his career to guiding students through the complex landscape of college admissions and helping them discover their passions and the power of their own potential.
Mason's academic journey began at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned a bachelor's degree as a double major in Communication and Psychology and earning a minor in Music. His passion for education led him to pursue a master's degree in Higher Education at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, where he studied tertiary education systems both domestically and internationally. These academic experiences compliment his practical skills, having been in the world of higher education for over a decade, serving both domestic and international students aiming for admissions to top universities in the US and abroad.
Mason served as an Admissions Officer for the University of California system, reviewing applications from a diverse pool of students worldwide. This role offered him invaluable insights into the admissions process, allowing him to understand what top-tier universities seek in prospective students. His tenure in admissions has been instrumental in shaping the strategic guidance he offers through Icon Admissions.
Mason inspires the team to provide personalized consulting services that demystify the college application process.
